Lotusphere Feedback is pretty good...10:37 AM Category : Lotusphere
Location : Columbus, Ohio, USA

So a friend of mine found this feedback at
Rob Wunderlich's blog.
Libby [Ingrassia] was asking many of the obvious questions - given my proclivity for topics in the wireless / mobile space what had caught my eye, etc. But, she asked which session had been my favorite and I was actually a little surprised at my answer: the "How to Make Domino Sites That Don't Look (or Act) Like Lotus Domino" - which was presented Monday afternoon by Scott Good and Henry Newberry. This was an absolutely wonderufl session, and the examples they showed were simple and elegant and wonderful.
[Scott] and Henry did a marvelous job of dismantling Domino's default views, etc., and replace them with some pretty good looking items.
Thanks for the feedback. Nice to hear positive stuff, though if there is other feedback, send it along in hard copy so we can try out the new high volume shredder

(Just kidding, Scott and I (and all other speakers I know) read every evaluation form and the comments. )

Getting Action Buttons to open the underlying link when any part of the cell is clicked04:35 PM Category : Lotusphere
Location : Columbus, Ohio, USA
During Scott's and my Hand's On session
at Lotusphere 2006, we were asked how to make HTML action buttons perform
the action when an area of a cell outside the link is clicked. We
did get it to behave graphically as if it had been clicked, but did not
show the actual function being performed unless you clicked the link text,
or hotspot.
An attendee, Brent, called me
on it. I got caught me in a typical hackers "White Lie".
I knew that it "could" be done, but I'll admit, I had not
previously done it.... NOW I HAVE!

how to impress a client, (Thanks Karen)10:10 PM Category : Lotusphere
Location : Lotusphere 2006
So I am walking from the Dolphin to
the Swan with Jack (name changed to protect his identity) last night about
10PM. I spy an interesting couple coming the other way and tell S...
er Jack that I am going to get a hug from a cute chick. Karen Hobart
(name not changed because she is truely inocent in this one) walks up and
gives me a big hug.
Jack was so impressed the he re-upped the services contract for another
year. I owe Karen another bourbon in Vegas (I have run out of the
six bottles I brought with me to LS this year)
