Ken Stahl has been my neighbor going on nine years. We first met while the neighborhood was under construction ten years ago. Ken and Bobbie were building on the lot two up from where Pat and I were. They finished and moved in a couple of weeks ahead of us. As two of the first residents of a new subdivision we, of course got together and shared war stories about the building process, old neighbors and neighborhoods and any of the hundreds of other things. Ken found out that I was a geek, actually making a living with computers. Like many of your neighbors, he almost instantly made me his help desk. Normally I laugh off such requests with the casual "Well, I really do not do hardware and windows OS support." Yet over the years I have made many "service" calls to Ken. Why I have done this should be obvious if you read on.

One of the more entertaining things
I have done over the years is to collect quotes. If you ever get
an email from me or read a post in the Partner Forum it has a quote on
the bottom that comes from a database that Rocky
Oliver and I started several
years back (1998). Recently, Andrew
Pollack corrected one of the
references and in the process provided some valuable research that I must
share. Andrew is clearly blessed with a top notch research department,
or Google. I have added several entries to my quote DB from this,
and I am now using the link to a quote from http://www.brainyquote.com
on this blog. Perhaps I'll create a JS call for your pages to get
one of my quotes... Meanwhile you can be annoyed by these quotes
at: small
version or big
version
